"Reading to escape reality, writing to embrace it." I've been conducting my own love affair with the literary world since the tender age of about seven. Back then it was fiction and fantasy that had me hooked.

In recent years however I have developed a love for Life Writing, for taking real-life tragedies and personal conquests and shedding light and humour on even the darkest of these situations. I write to amuse and entertain, but also to support and comfort others.

My latest book, 'Give a girl the right pair of shoes . . . And she can conquer the world,' is my biggest writing acheivement to date. It's a book of memoirs in which I document some of my own toughest conquests and most memorable moments. The tragedy of losing my son, for example, dealing with depression and anxiety to finding my very own modern-day Prince Charming. :-)

My writing technique has been described as chatty, comical and charming. I'm brutally honest about my own experiences, and I like to delve deep into subjects, not merely to scratch the surface.

I regularly write articles and blogs on an array of topics, from money to fashion, gender differences to cooking. The topics of pregnancy and parenting are of particular interest to me and I'm a regular features writer for the National Childbirth Trust.
